I'm thinkning of rushing my ele to rata for this weekend to do some farming, but all the builds seem to rely on mindbender and my asuran level is...well 0. Is mindbender a deal breaker for this build? Please post any thoughts/builds.

The earth magic build doesnt rely on mindbender...need a taxi to Rata Sum ? :P

now the sad part is that its a long run, takes time and we all know the fuel prices these days :P I already run Faithless there today and charged him 10K, so I will have to do the same to everyone now :P

sorry for the letdown to everyone that hoped it is free, but time=money

note: if you have an ele 10K is not a lot <just sell 14unids from the raptor cave>

edit: oh...forgot about the happy part :P I can run there even from LA or Boreal Station

You forget that it's farming section, not services. Go there.

You can swap out mind bender for Armor of Mists (in the E/A fire build), but it requires a bit more skill.

Flame djinns Haste
Deadly Paradox
Shadow Form
Firestorm
Glyph of sacrafice
Meteor Shower
Bed of Coals

Seem to work fine for me, although after the nerf to Falme djinns haste I usually only get around 25 raptors instead of the full 33.

I've been using the build above for the past few days and it works great. You just have to be sure of your timing. The only times I get in a muddle with it is if I get stuck in a bunch of raptors when trying to gather them up. That works without PvE skills. However, your killing power is somewhat reduced, and if Sliver doesn't target the boss first, you die. [wiki]Intensity[/wiki], [wiki]Ebon Battle Standard of Honor[/wiki], and [wiki]Air of Superiority[/wiki] are sort of needed to make a fast and efficient run.

not neccasarily if ur sin primary,if ur unlucky it usually kills 3-12 raptors before targeting boss, and u still pull thru by 2 seconds, but i think trick is to keep the raptors on ur tail and make sure they arent already slashing at you or it screws up targetting

This is a build i threw together.......works well in NM. Variant to it works well in hm.
